Blast Wall
RETTEW contracted with TEK Piles/MAGNUM® to design and install foundations for a new blast wall. A protection barrier wall within an existing substation. This blast wall would be supported by Grillages and helical piles would be used to support it. The wall layout consisted of 12 helical pile supported columns & 5 concrete supported columns. Low overhead conditions existed. Smaller equipment and helical piles prevented outages. Helical piles & grillages also allowed for condensed schedules due to lack of cure time.
