Minimal steel erection experience required. These structural steel frames require no welding or hot rivets. The Magnum MMA-SWSG Moment Frame Shear Wall Support consists of individual hangers for shear walls of varying lengths to be supported. This allows a wide variety of shear wall products to be utilized. The shear wall products are to be bolted through the shear wall support per the shear wall manufacturers recommendations.
Installation Notes:
Column offsets should be determined by a design professional and are measured from inside of sheathing to center line of Magnum Moment Frame.
Notch sill plate in shear wall support location. Clamp support into position using bolts provided. Extend sill plate over support. Attach support to shear wall using through bolts in slotted holes.
