A frozen lowland lake area needed a pedestrian boardwalk. The boardwalk would need to travel a quarter mile. The job would include 268 helical piles to react an average depth of 40 ft. The installation took place in January under very cold conditions. Even with frozen soil, the installation took only 15 working days.
