Slope Stabilization – Elkview, West Virginia

Stabilizing Slopes with Minimal Disruption

The Problem

A residential property in Elkview, West Virginia was experiencing slope instability, creating the risk of soil movement and long-term erosion. The challenge was to stabilize the slope effectively while minimizing disturbance to the surrounding environment and preserving the natural appearance of the landscape.

The Solution

MAGNUM provided a practical and efficient stabilization approach using 15 MAGNUM® Helical Anchors to secure TECCO mesh across the slope. The anchors were installed to an average depth of 18 feet, delivering the holding capacity needed to reinforce the soil and prevent further movement.

Once installed, the system allowed for natural vegetation growth over the mesh, helping to conceal the reinforcement while adding an additional layer of erosion control. The combination of mechanical stabilization and organic surface protection created a long-term, low-impact solution. The entire installation was completed in just 2 days, keeping the project efficient and minimally disruptive.
