The Magnum MMA-BHG Moment Frame Beam Hanger consists of a Magnum 3/8″ Beam End Plate and web stiffeners for support on a Magnum Moment Frame Beam. The Beam Hanger is designed to attach to the side of a Magnum Moment Frame beam for perpendicular connections of beams where a column is not needed or not necessary.
Installation Notes:
The Magnum Beam Hanger may be used for specific cases, such as picking up intermediate support points in existing house frames Caution should be exercised for minimal use of this type of connection as it does not provide for a moment connection and therefore does not contribute to the overall overturning and wind bracing system. The connection supports vertical loads only.
